ROSS - WHERE IS EVERYBODY?
Cassette. Released December 1997. Out of print.
I think there are about 50 copies of this out there somewhere. Most were giveaways, but about half a dozen were sold as a result of an appearance on KOTV's "Six in the Morning" in 1998.
I wanted to really jam-pack the (60-minute) tape, so both sides end mere seconds before the tape runs out. When I finished the first print run & went to the second batch of blank tapes, I discovered that I couldn't get everything to fit anymore. After tightening up the breaks between songs, I found that I could get everything on if I swapped a longer track from side one with a shorter one from side two -- so on later versions, "The Only Thing I Care About" and "The Hunting Song" traded places.
A lot of these tracks still show up in my set from time to time, and some were revamped and re-recorded for News From Around The Bend.
