give a lovely award to the audience's favorite one.


I Am A Short Filmmaker and
I Want to Know How to Enter My Film

First off, you are not that short.

1. Print out this entry form and Fill It Out.
2. Take a VHS copy of your film to TAC Gallery, 9 East Brady (downtown), along with an entry form. We'll have a box there you can put your entry in. Note: Call to find out gallery hours--592-0041.

3. Deadline for entries is Friday, March 8, 11 p.m.

Very Newly Imposed Guidelines
We Will Now Firmly Follow

  • Short films must be under 10 minutes long.
  • Only filmmakers get in free, one filmmaker per film.
  • THERE IS NO LONGER AN ENTRY FEE
  • THE ENTRIES ARE NOW JUDGED, Not audience-voted upon.
  • THERE IS NO LONGER a cash prize, but there are prizes and they are quite lovely.
  • Only one film allowed per film artist per month.
  • Due to Whatever, not all films may be shown. We reserve the right to postpone showings.
  • We may choose, for whatever reason, not to show your film at all. Ever. If that is the case, we will inform you of our reason, but chances are it is because you are being naughty.
  • Do not give us originals. Tapes can get damaged, lost, etc... and we're not going to mess with getting them back to you. We'll just keep them and watch them and show them to our family members during holiday conversation lulls.

    Frequently Asked Answers

    --If you are making a short, remember that most people agree that shorts are about 8 minutes too long.
    --If you cannot afford the door fee, then bring your mom in a pair of shorts and you will both get in free. If you do not have a mom, borrow one.
    --Winner will be NOT BE chosen by the audience. Winners will get a prize, but 1) It will not be cash and 2) it will entitle the winner an entry into an unspecified annual short film competition that we are planning.
