News from 8/26/03

My apologies if you drove all the way to Fort Gibson on Friday to see me at the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. My appearance was canceled, along with many others, as a result of rain showers that came through and sent the PA system (and apparently much of the crowd) packing. Hopefully many funds were still raised.

As for the flyer to the right, let me just say this about that:

This show is big.

Just look at that lineup, fercryinoutloud. Not to mention that you get it all for a measly FIVE BUCKS, which itself goes to another great charity. Lots of giveaways, great music, good food... great way to spend a sweaty August Saturday in Oklahoma, if you ask me. We're doing lots of little promo stuff for this one, all about which you can read here.

Big thanks to Charlie 7 at KRSC for a fun evening on the radio yesterday, and to John Truskett, the hardest-working drummer/law student in show business, for putting this whole thing together. Trust me, this show's gonna be giant.
